4 videos created via iChat meetings when M.O.B and Villa were all living far from one another in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Prague. The footage was then edited in Prague and sent via FTP to Manila. A reflection on the desire to connect across distance and time zones, a meditation on the shortcomings of digitally-dependent communication and the false sense of security it provides, and an effort at long-distance collaboration. Chatsilog was a bittersweet, comedic attempt to cohere fragmented interactions into an illusory, temporary space that, for the duration of the project, the artists could share and jointly occupy.
